Almaty branch of ? Nur Otan? Party discusses rights of disabled people

ALMATY. February 12. KAZINFORM The Institute of Parliamentary System together with the UNDP in Kazakhstan holds round table on realization of rights of disabled people in Kazakhstan, Kazinform reports.

Participants will discuss state and prospects of improving the system of social protection of disabled, in light of the introduction of the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, as well as interim results of the analytical study of the Institute of Parliamentary System of the NPD "Nur Otan" on problems of disabled. Reps of the UN Development Program in Kazakhstan, Kazakh Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Statistics Agency, Almaty branch of the ?Nur Otan? Party, Almaty local authorities and nongovernmental organizations on protection of disabled people will take part in the event. The moderator of the event is Deputy Director of the Institute of Parliamentary System of ?Nur Otan? Party Amankul Serikbayev. Practical recommendations for state bodies and all interested organizations on the issues of improvement of the system of social protection of disabled people in Kazakhstan will be developed following the results of the round table.
