Almaty hosts exhibition of ethno-cultural centers (PHOTO)
ALMATY. KAZINFORM - The House of Friendship in Almaty has hosted an exhibition of ethno-cultural associations of the city which presented national costumes and dishes, musical instruments, household items and many other things that characterize the traditions and customs of different peoples.
Visitors had an opportunity to see paintings and decorative and applied arts, portraits of famous people. The exhibition of national cultural centers has been organized to mark the start of the Year of People's Assembly. People's Assembly of Kazakhstan was established under the initiative of President Nursultan Nazarbayev in March 1, 1995 as a unique institution for peace and accord in society. Year the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan was declared by the Head of State on 18 April last year at the XXI session of the Assembly. Today all regions of the country launched the Year of People's Assembly.
