Almaty hosts expanded session of Border Service Military Council

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Almaty has held an enlarged meeting of the Military Council of the Border Service under the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.

The event has been attended by Chairman of the National Security Committee Nurtai Abykayev. The round table was chaired by the Acting Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee - director of the Border Guard Service - Colonel Darkhan Dilmanov. Members of the Military Council considered the results of the border agencies for 2014, the issues of logistics, the state of military discipline. In addition, there were identified priorities and set targets for the current year. According to the reports, during the special preventive operations in the Caspian Sea, 144 boats were detained and about 4,000 fish of valuable species were seized. 190 criminal cases were initiated. 10,394 citizens have been fined 168, 888 million tenge. Border Service has acquired transport aircraft An-74T-200A, two military transport helicopters Mi-171SH. Moreover there have been repaired and modernized 9 aircraft. In 2014 Kazakh Border Service purchased 477 units of automotive engineering and road construction equipment. Mobile radiological and dental units have been purchased to provide medical care in remote settlements of the country. According to Nurtai Abykayev, last year was a period of global changes in geopolitics and the global economy. The level of threats from terrorist and extremist organizations has sharply increased. Solutions and answers to these threats were outlined by the Head of our state Nursultan Nazarbayev in the address to the nation: "Nurly Zhol - The path to the future".
