Almaty Mayor: Further improvement of social infrastructure provided
ALMATY. April 10. KAZINFORM /Dauren Zhailin/ We have implemented all social programs and provided further improvement of the city?s social infrastructure. Mayor of Almaty city Akhmetzhan Yessimov has made it public at the yesterday?s conference on south capital?s development chaired by President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kazinform reports

As Mr. Yessimov informed, seven schools and four kindergartens have been built and put into commission over the last year and the first quarter of the current year. Three more kindergartens and schools are planned to be commissioned by the year end, he said.
According to the Mayor, eight healthcare facilities are under construction at present.
As for housing over 1 mln sq m of accomodation have been put into operation in Almaty in 2008.
The President reminded of allocation of KZT 46.5 bln for supporting shared construction participants. ?The second tier banks have already utilized KZT 27.5 bln. KZT 10 bln have been additionally allotted from the national budget. Thus, the state provides more than KZT 56 bln for tackling interest holders? problems?, the Head of the State said.
