Almaty mayor pledges to reduce shortage of pupil's seats

Almaty mayor Yerbolat Dossayev promised to reduce a shortage of student seats at schools by 2025 to a controlled level, Kazinform News Agency reports.

22 schools for 37,100 seats will open in 2024-2025 in Almaty as part of the Comfortable School national project. Memorandum on constructing 13 schools for 23,100 pupils and memoranda on building and purchasing eight schools for 12,000 seats with private investors have been signed. Besides, one 2,000-seat school will be built through the private-public partnership. By September 1 the school seat deficiency will be reduced to a controlled level.
