Almaty prepares for Winter Asian Games 2011

ALMATY. April 11. KAZINFORM ?We totally manage the financing, allocated for this project by the Government and we will control over the implementation of all works?, Almaty Deputy Mayor Viktor Dolzhenkov said yesterday in Almaty at the session of the territorial organization committee on preparation and holding of the VII Winter Asian Games 2011, Kazinform refers to the press service f the Mayor.

The meeting with the reps of the central executive bodies of the city, structural departments of the Akimat, public utilities was held within the working visit of the Head of the State to Almaty. As earlier reported, the Kazakh President set the Government task on allocation of additional finances for preparation of the facilities of the Asian Games at the conference on strategic development of the city, held on April 9, 2009. According to V.Dolzhenkov, taking into account the additional support of the Government the city will be able to prepare all necessary facilities for the Winter Games 2011, refusing a part of facilities, the construction of which can be delayed. The Deputy Mayor set the responsible authorities the task to hold technical and financial expertise of all facilities and executed works and noted that tight schedule and saving mustn?t affect the quality of works.
