Almaty region to open mini-centers in idle classrooms of schools
TALDYKORGAN. November 21. KAZINFORM. /Sandugash Duissenova/ Almaty region's education department and akimats are charged to register idle classrooms and organize their mini-centers for children. Deputy Akim of the region Bolat Takenov has made it public after the Government's telephone conference today.
"The number of kindergartens in our region is deficient. We have to make a lot", B. Takenov said. He noted that on Monday Akimat would invite owners of private buildings of former kindergartens in order to discuss the situation.
At present 79 kindergartens and 260 mini-centers operate in Almaty oblast. 20,000 children or 20.4% get preschool education there.
12 new kindergartens are under construction this year. 14 more will be built next year.
