ASTANA. June 26. KAZINFORM - Scientists of the Research Institute of Food Technology of the Almaty Technological University have worked out for the State material reserves of the country the long-term grain storage technology.Director of the Institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences Auelbek Iztaev said in the interview, and that the traditional technologies used today were outdated. They do not meet environmental standards and costly when applied.

"Our proposed technique is called ionoozone. We use ozone as a very good oxidizing agent, it is better than chlorine. At certain concentrations it achieves its goal, completely eliminates mold, germs, bacteria, including pests, and various rodents, " said A.Iztaev.

As believed by him, this technology is used in a confined space to ozone penetrated into the grain mass and did not go "to the side." The scientist added that ionoozone mixture was invented in the laboratory of the Institute and its tests showed good results.

"Why is it important for Kazakhstan's storage of agricultural products at a high level without loss of quantity and quality? First, because we are the exporting country. The requirements for the export of products is very high. Second, in general, for internal needs it is also of great importance. If the source of raw material quality is high, and then the received output will be a quality product. It is important for the health of the population ", concluded A.Iztaev.
