Almaty to hold XI food EXPOs

ALMATY. April 13. KAZINFORM /Dauren Zhailin/ We would like to demonstrate the achievements of domestic manufacturers in the food sphere, President of Rakhat JSC Anatoly Popelyushko announced today on the eve of the XI Kazakhstan EXPOs of the Union of the Commodity Producers of Food and Processing Industry of Kazakhstan (UCPFPIK); Kazinform reports.

The exhibitions titled ?Kazakhstan Food Market - 2009 ?, ?Sweets - 2009?, ?Sharap-WINE - 2009? and "Equipment, Tare, Packaging - 2009? will be held on April 15-17. The exhibitions will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Almaty akimat (administration). According to A.Popelyushko, these events are to define the competitive ability level of domestic manufacturers, promote secure and quality food products, present new kinds of productions and establish business contacts. A roundtable on elaboration and implementation of technical regulations for food industry, seminars, presentations, contests ?Leader of Kazakhstan Food Market-2009?, ?Contest of Cooks?, consumer degustation will take place as part of the EXPOs.
