Almaty to host 1st session of CARICC National Coordinators Council

ASTANA. February 23. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ First session of the National Coordinators Council of the member countries of the Central Asian Regional Information Coordination Centre (CARICC) to fight against the illicit trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances is scheduled to be held in Almaty on February 26. Head of the Department for Language Policy and Information of the RK MIA Bagdat Kodzhakhmetov has made it public at a weekly briefing today, Kazinform reports.

?The sitting will consider and approve a regulation on organization of the work of the CARICC National Coordinators Council, provision on recording of service in the Centre, draft Agreement on exchange and protection of classified information of the member countries, other countries? requests on giving them an observer?s status and other documents regarding the CARICC activity?, B. Kodzhakhmetov said. ?The Law ?On ratification of the Agreement on establishment of the CARICC? was signed by the Head of the State on November 6, 2008?, B. Kodzhakhmetov reminded.
