Almaty to host Business Forum on entrepreneurs' support

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Almaty to host business forum to support entrepreneurs of the city, this has been announced today during the meeting between Almaty Akim Akhmetzhan Yesimov and CEO of "Sberbank of Russia" subsidiary Alexander Kamalov.

Head of financial institution reported on the results of the memorandum signed in 2012 between the Akimat and the bank. In particular, Alexander Kamalov noted that "Sberbank of Russia" is actively involved in the implementation of social projects aimed at job creation and support for SMEs under "Business Road Map-2020". Akim stressed that Almaty is the city of great prospects for financial institutions, in particular, for second-tier banks. "Support for SMEs is important, as this sector has the largest share in the city's economy. Many projects are being implemented in Almaty that could be of interest for the bank. For example, ecological project on vehicles transition to compressed gas", said A.Yesimov. Almaty is selected as the cultural capital of the CIS in 2014. In this regard, Akim suggested the banker to actively support cultural projects of the metropolis.
