Almaty to host CA childhood protection conference

ALMATY. March 27. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilyinskaya/ A Central Asian Scientific-Research Conference Protection of Childhood: the State, Strategy and Ways of Realization is to be held in Almaty on April 2-3, Kazinform refers to the event organizers – Almaty Department for Children?s Rights Protection and the Union of Crisis Centers of Kazakhstan.

The event aims at promotion of the favorable policy to ensure the development of the children of the Eurasian countries through comparative evaluation of the current experience and determination of the perspective strategies. The goal of the conference is to foster the development of the institute of children?s rights; strengthen cooperation and generate partnership relations among public bodies, civil society and international organizations in protection of legal rights and interests of the children in conformity with the Convention on the Rights of the Child; and develop social technologies to improve the system of children?s rights protection. Deputies of Kazakhstan's Parliament and Almaty maslikhat, representatives of the Central Asian countries, executive bodies, the Commission for Women and Family Affairs, the Human Rights Commission under the the President of Kazakhstan, international organizations and mass media are expected to gather for the event.
