Almaty to host Weightlifting World Championship

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - In the framework of the Asian championship in weightlifting among boys and girls up to 17 years as well as the Asian championship in weightlifting among juniors and girls up to 20 years in the city of Bangsaene (Thailand), the delegation of the Weightlifting Federation of Kazakhstan has met with the president of the International Weightlifting Federation Tamas Ajan.

During the negotiation the parties have inked an agreement saying that Almaty in November 2014 will host weightlifting world championship, according to the press service of the Weightlifting Federation of Kazakhstan. Asian Weightlifting Federation's congress meeting was carried out in the framework of the Asian Championship in weightlifting. The round table was attended by the delegation of the Weightlifting Federation of Kazakhstan.
