Almaty to host XXI Asian-Pacific Mathematics Olympiad and ?Silk Way? VII Mathematics Olympiad

ALMATY. March 7. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilyinskaya/ During the period of March 9-11 Almaty is to host the XXI Asian-Pacific Mathematics Olympiad and ?Silk Way? VII Mathematics Olympiad. The organizers of the events are the Kazakh National Al-Farabi University and ?Daryn? Republican Scientific-Practical Centre of the RK Ministry of Education and Science, Kazinform refers to the press centre of the University.

Teams from 38 countries: Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Columbia, Hong-Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, the USA, Honduras, the South Africa, Turkey, Uruguay and others are to take part in the events. These Mathematics Olympiads are distance competitions held on local level in each member country. 100 students from all the regions of the republic are expected to participate in the Olympiads
