Almost 2,000 children traveled across Kazakhstan under Kids Go Free programme in 2023

1,975 Kazakhstani children travelled across the country under Kids Go Free programme in 2023, Kazinform News Agency reports via the Ministry of Tourism and Sport.

The total cost of the tours sold by 13 companies (with the deduction of children’s plane tickets) is 458.0 million tenge, with the amount of compensation at 90.0 tenge.

Alakol became the most popular destination with 637 children travelling there. The amount of compensation made 10.7 million tenge.

The second popular tourist attraction is Almaty. 567 children visited it in 2023, with 31.9 million tenge of compensation paid to tour operators.

And the third popular destination is the Caspian Sea coast. 350 children traveled there under Kids Go Free programme, and the amount of compensation for the tourist companies made 25.5 million tenge.

In 2022, the country’s tourist companies sold 692 tours worth 373 million tenge under Kids Go Free programme, due to which 1,430 children travelled across Kazakhstan.
