Almost 8,000 minor surgeries performed by doctors of Salamatty Kazakhstan train

Doctors of the Salamatty Kazakhstan train conducted 240,000 consultations and performed 7,671 minor surgeries, director general of the Samruk Kazyna Trust social projects development fund Alfiya Adiyeva said, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Doctors provided medical care to 101,301 people. Of which 54,334 were women, 23,685 men and 23,282 children. The train stopped for two days at each station. Most of them up to 77,104 sought treatment of general practitioners, 16,382 neuropathologists and 15,529 of ophthalmologists.

The social project Salamatty Kazakhstan is developed on the principle of mutually beneficial cooperation between the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the Kazakh President, the Samruk Kazyna Fund, the Healthcare Ministry and the Fund of Social Projects.

It started its work on May 1. For the past eight months, it toured 17 regions of Kazakhstan.

Notably, over 500 residents of flood-hit Kulsary were treated by Salamatty Kazakhstan health train brigade.
