Ambassador of Kazakhstan and Minister of Customs and Trade of Turkey discussed issues of bilateral cooperation

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Turkey Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Minister of Customs and Trade of Turkey Nurettin Canikli, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan informs.

Z. Tuimebayev informed his interlocutor about the main provisions of new economic policy "Nurly-Zhol", the implementation of which would give a new impetus for further development of the Kazakh-Turkish relations.

The interlocutors noted that the relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey were at a high level and expressed readiness to exert all the efforts for using the potential of both countries for increasing the mutual trade turnover. The customs bodies of the two countries will be exchanging experience for improvement of the customs control and creation of the favorable climate for development of the internal economic activity.

Z. Tuimenbayev told that in December of 2014, opening of the new international railroad "Uzen-Bereket-Gorgan" was held with the participation of presidents of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran. The road runs through the territory of all three countries. It was also noted that this route and the other project - "Baku-Tbilisi-Kars", will increase the cargo turnover from Kazakhstan to Turkey and benefit the mutual trade turnover.

N. Canikli, in turn, emphasized that the visit of Turkish President R. Erdogan to Kazakhstan was planned for the nearest future. The second sitting of the Strategic Cooperation Council with the participation of the presidents of both countries is planned within the visit.
