Ambassador of Kazakhstan meets with Head of Fund on enhancing competitiveness

ISLAMABAD. February 2. KAZINFORM Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bahytbek Shabarbayev met with Head of the Fund on Competitive Growth Arthur Baihan in Islamabad. The Fund was created by the Ministry of Finance in Pakistan and USAID to increase foreign trade and inflow of foreign investments, Kazinform reports.

B. Shaparbayev expressed support to the development of interregional cooperation, informed of the measures taken by the Government to overcome global financial crisis in Kazakhstan. In his turn, A. Baihan informed of possibility to increase trade relations with Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan. The created Fund supports production of seafood and horticultural products which can be exported to the market of Kazakhstan. At present, Pakistan works on development of two special economic zones to which all necessary infrastructure for the development of new production will be brought, the creation of which is open to the Kazakhstan business community. Enterprises in special economic zones will be exempted from taxes for 15 years.
