Ambassador tells Mongolian mass media about upcoming presidential elections in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - On March 16, 2015 in Ulan Bator Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia H.E. Kalybek Koblandin held a briefing for the leading Mongolian media, the press service of the Kazakh Embassy to Mongolia informs.

Delivering his speech Ambassador Koblandin stated that due to the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be held on April 26 this year.

Concerning the reasons for holding early presidential elections, the Ambassador said that this decision is due to the urgent need to overcome the negative impact of the global financial crisis, as well as the deterioration of the security situation in the world.

According to him, snap presidential elections will help implement the new economic program of the country "Nurly Zhol", as well as long-term priorities such as the Strategy "Kazakhstan-2050" and the entry into the thirty most developed economies in the world, which require hard work and a clear focus on these areas.

Speaking about the organizational problems of the political events Ambassador Koblandin informed that Kazakhstan will take all possible measures to ensure that the organization of the electoral process is in strict accordance with the highest democratic standards.

The Kazakh diplomat said that on the day of the election at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Mongolia will work the polling station, where the citizens of Kazakhstan, temporarily residing in the territory of Mongolia, will be given the opportunity to participate in the elections.

In conclusion, Ambassador Koblandin expressed confidence that regardless of the outcome of these political processes in Kazakhstan, the development of comprehensive cooperation between Kazakhstan and Mongolia will continue to have the dynamics of growth and this trend will continue in the future. According to him, the horizons for the development of relations between Kazakhstan and Mongolia are very wide.
