American pianist's concert held in Almaty

TANA. November 16. KAZINFORM The Almaty classical music aficionados enjoyed the exciting concert of Daniel Pollack, an international renowned American pianist, who made his first trip to Kazakhstan this fall. The Concert Hall of Kurmangazy National Conservatoire was packed.

"A Musical 'love affair' with Russia," as critics described it, he played a selection of works by Chopin, Liszt, Debussy and C. Barber, the press service of the US Diplomatic Mission to Kazakhstan reports. Among the guests were the parents of Daniel Pollack's Kazakhstani student, Sergey Kuznetsov, who is working on his doctoral project at the Thornton School of Music of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
