Amir Omarkhanov of Kazakhstan propels to J500 Osaka quartefinal in Japan

World No. 15 Amir Omarkhanov of Kazakhstan advanced to the quarterfinal of the ITF J500 Osaka Tournament 2024 in Japan, Kazinform News Agency has learned from the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation (KTF).

The Kazakh tennis player defeated world No. 95 Egor Pleshivtsev of Russia in three sets with a score of 4:6, 6:1, 7:5.

Amir's next opponent in the quarterfinal bout is Miguel Tobon (ranked 20th) from Colombia.

Japan is staging the J500 Osaka Tournament between September 23-29.
