Ammonia leak reported at refrigerating plant in Moscow
MOSCOW. November 22. KAZINFORM An ammonia leak has been reported at a refrigerating plant in a Moscow northern suburb, no one was hurt, a spokesman for the city emergencies administration told Itar-Tass on Monday; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
According to the spokesman, the accident occurred at 10:29 a.m. Moscow time at a refrigerating plant located at Moscow's Leningrdaskoye highway. A 10-mm pipe burst during repair works at a compressor shop. According to preliminary information, no one was hurt.
"People were evacuated, ammonia vapors have not escaped the plant's territory," the spokesman said.
It is yet to be found out what caused the leakage.
