Angelina Lukas may represent Kazakhstan at 2024 Paris Olympics

A list of Kazakhstani female boxers who are going to vie for a chance to fight for Olympic licenses has been approved. Boxing ladies will gather in Astana on April 8-10 to decide who will represent Kazakhstan at the upcoming qualification tournament in Thailand, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation.

In Bangkok, Kazakhstan’s boxers, including Nazym Kyzaibay, Zhaina Shekerbekova, Dariga Shakimova and Valentina Khalzova, will try to earn Olympic quotas to go to Paris this summer.

Two professional boxers Angelina Lukas and Balausa Muzdiman landed in the same 54kg weight category on the list. In total, 16 boxers will step into the ring in Astana to win a ticket to Thailand.
