Ankara held reception devoted to 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence

TANA-ANKARA. December 2. KAZINFORM Ankara has held a number of events on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of independence of Kazakhstan; the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in Turkey reports.

There were carried out an official reception, a concert with participation of the Kazakh artists in the Central Concert Hall of the Turkish capital, a photo exhibition about Kazakhstan and an opening of the Kazakhstan Avenue in Nevşehir city.

Kazakh Ambassador to turkey Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Speaker of the Parliament of Turkey Cemil Çiçek and Kazakh Senate Speaker Kairat Mami delivered speeches.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev outlined success of Kazakhstan achieved for the 20-year period of development under leadership of President N.Nazarbayev, paid special attention to the issues of bilateral and multilateral relations with Turkey, told about main directions of Kazakhstan's internal and external policy.

Cemil Çiçek expressed satisfaction with the level of development of bilateral cooperation in all spheres, focused on the role of the Kazakh President in integration of the Turkic-speaking countries and spoke for further rapprochement of Kazakhstan and Turkey.

Senate Speaker Kairat Mami noted that over 20 years the Kazakh-Turkish relations are developing at the high level.

Within the 20^th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence the medals of friendship of Kazakhstan and Turkey were handed over to Speaker of the Parliament of Turkey Cemil Çiçek and other outstanding figures of the country for contribution in development of the Kazakh-Turkish relations.
