Another Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan keeps his job

Serik Zhumangarin will continue to serve as the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the Akorda press service.

Born in 1969 in Aktobe, Serik Zhumangarin is a graduate of the Buketov Kazakh State University and the International Business Academy.

Throughout his career, Serik Zhumangarin worked for the Kazakh Agency for Natural Monopolies Regulation, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

He also served as the Vice Minister of Regional Development and National Economy in 2013-2014 and 2017-2019, respectively.

He held the post of the Chairman of the Kazakh Agency for Protection and Development of Competition between 2020 and 2022.

He was named as the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan on September 2, 2023.
