Anti-terrorist regime introduced in several Dagestan villages

"The legal anti-terror regime is in effect since 1.30 p.m. Moscow time in the settlements of Arakhkent, Verkhny Dzhengutai, Chabanmakhi, Karamakhi and Durangi," the public relations groups of the Federal Security Service department in Dagestan told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

According to the law enforcement agencies, the law enforcers managed to block a group of 3-5 gunmen in the forest on the outskirts of Durangi in the small hours on Wednesday.

The special operation is still underway. Additional forces of police commandoes and Buinaksk local police were dispatched to the area where the gunmen are blocked. No reports about the losses on both sides are available, Kazinform cites Itar-Tass. See www.itar-tass.com for full version.
