APEC ministers meeting opens, focusing on post-crisis trade promotion

SINGAPORE. November 11. KAZINFORM. The 21st APEC Ministerial Meeting opens here Wednesday morning at Singapore's Suntec Convention Center; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.

    The focus of the meeting includes: addressing global financial crisis, structural reform, support for multilateral trading system, accelerating regional economic integration and future development of the APEC, according to Ma Zhaoxu, spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

    The Foreign and Trade ministers and representatives of the 21 APEC member economies are attending the two-day meeting, to make final preparations for the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting (AELM) slated for Nov. 14-15; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
