Appearance of new global currency is unlikely in nearest 5 years ? Robert Mundell
ASTANA. March 10. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Appearance of a new global currency is unlikely in the nearest five years, Canadian economist-Nobel Prize winner in economics Robert Mundell thinks so. He said it at a briefing in Akorda following the results of the meeting with Kazakhstan?s President Nursultan Nazarbayev; Kazinform reports.
?If you ask me, if the global currency?s appearance is possible in the nearest five years, I will say that it is unlikely?, R.Mundell said.
He did not except, that appearance of the global currency is possible, taking into account sizeable fluctuations in the dollar and euro.
Robert Mundell arrived in Kazakhstan for participation in the II Astana Economic Forum, which will be held on March 11-12.
