Armenian business must have its claims within EEU
As member of the board for the main directions of integration and macro economy of the EEC Tatyana Valovaya noted, in accordance with the Agreement on the EEU, the Union must not have any barriers. Presently, the work on removal of all the barriers and restrictions is being actively carried out.
"There are some restrictions like the one regarding Armenia and its delay in accession. There are also some barriers like restrictions regarding the access to the national markets, which is not supposed to exist. However, these sorts of things happen," she said.
This year, when developing introductions, business communities of the Union will be involved in the process. One of the main themes requiring special attention is liberalization of the service sector and product markets.
Member of the board of the EEC Karine Minasyan also called business community for cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Commission.
"The EEC also tries to hear the opinion of the business communities. We also need to create conditions for Armenian business to express its. The Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia has become a member of the Consultative Board for cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and Belarus-Kazakhstan-Russia business community. The sitting of the Board is scheduled for April 2, and it is important for the Armenian business community to voice their problems there," K. Minasyan added.
