sp;ASTANA. November 13. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ "The Army must be such that the whole nation was proud of it", Kazakh President N.Nazarbayev has said answering questions of people during the hotline today.

"The Armed Forced of the country is Kazakhstan's security. It is necessary to be able to protect the independence, and this issue is under my personal control as the Supreme Commander-in-chief", he said.

The President noted that we had a preliminary military training at schools. He said that this issue must be discussed and if necessary this system of training must be revived.

Besides, the President noted that technological advance is necessary in the Army. Our country should equip the Army with new armament systems, military hardware. The Army must muster modern methods of conductions of operations. Special emphasis was laid on the issue of provision the Army with qualified personnel.
