Around 1000 Astana residents will get targeted social aid in tribute to Nauryz holiday

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Astana is preparing to celebrate Nauryz at full pace. There are a lot of events being held in the city: exhibitions, concerts, children's contests, competitions and artistic contests involving a lot of citizens.

Great attention is also paid to socially vulnerable categories of the population in the capital on holidays. This was reported to astana.kz by the Administration of employment and social programs of Astana city, according to astana.kz.

So, as part of Nauryz celebration, 950 receivers of targeted social assistance and member of permanent commissions of the Council of veterans will get material aid in the total sum of 2 750 000 KZT.

Also on March 22, there will be a festive performance "Nauryz - duman" involving 30 children with disabilities and orphans being under patronage and medical and social institutions. Sport interests of people with disabilities will also be considered. 25 disabled persons will take part in a solemn event under a slogan "Nauryz meiramy - the spring holiday" and in sport competitions in chess and togyzkumalak.

The agency also notes that over 300 people from the number of labor veterans and workers of subordinate authorities will take active part in city events devoted to Nauryz holiday.
