Art of the Mongol World Exhibition to be displayed at London's Royal Academy of Arts
An exhibition titled “Art of the Mongol World”, which will bring together art pieces influenced by the Mongol Empire and preserved in all corners of the world, will be held at the Royal Academy of Arts in the United Kingdom, MONTSAME reports.
In November 2023, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth of Mongolia Nomin Chinbat and the officials of the Royal Academy of Arts signed a Memorandum of Understanding in London, the UK. Based on this, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Government Implementing Agency Arts and Culture Authority of Mongolia and the Royal Academy of Arts on September 13, 2024.
Michael Eldred, Deputy Director of Development of Royal Academy of Arts, and the Head of the Culture and Crafts Authority of Mongolia, signed the agreement in the presence of other officials.
Within the framework of cooperation, an Exhibition featuring artworks influenced by the Mongol Empire will be held for three months at the Royal Academy of Arts, an institution with a 250-year history known for shaping the British art scene and attracting 1.2 million tourists annually.
The co-organized Exhibition will be the second major international effort to promote Mongolia through art, following the exhibition “Chinggis Khaan: How Mongols Changed the World” in France.
