As OSCE chair, Kazakhstan will reach success - Greek Ambassador
sp;ASTANA. November 19. KAZINFORM. /Serik Sabekov/ Answering the questions of journalists ahead of the concert of Greek and Kazakh music yesterday in Astana Greek Ambassador Evangelos Denaksas expressed confidence that Kazakhstan as OSCE chair would reach success in military-political, economic, humanitarian and environmental spheres.
According to him, during its chairmanship in the OSCE Greece tried to act as an honest broker and reach consent and harmony between all 56 member states so that they can make joint decisions. Only due to consensus it is possible to obtain results within the OSCE. The diplomat reminded that from now on all decisions will be made within the 'Corfu process' that was launched at the informal meeting of OSCE foreign ministers.
"I suppose Kazakhstan held major activities on preparation for the OSCE chairmanship", Mr. Denaksas emphasized. He reminded that Kazakhstan established an interdepartmental commission headed by Foreign Affairs Minister Kanat Saudabayev and a working group headed by Vice Foreign Minister Konstantin Zhigalov.
