Ashgabat held reception on 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence

ASTANA. December 9. KAZINFORM A reception on occasion of the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, which was organized by the Kazakh Embassy in Turkmenistan, has been held in Ashgabat.

Representatives of state bodies of Turkmenistan, foreign diplomatic missions accredited in the country, public and cultural figures, journalists, representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora were invited to the event.

Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan Askhat Orazbay told about success achieved over the years of independence.

The Kazakh diplomat noted that the Government actively implements the program of forced industrial innovative development, which is aimed at realization of large investment projects in the export-oriented sectors of economy.

He noted that bilateral Kazakh-Turkmen relations, which are based on centuries-old ties of friendship, mutual respect and good neighborliness, are characterized by dynamism and new content. The volume of the mutual trade turn over increased twofold in 2011.
