Askar Mussinov elected as IOFS Director-General

Kazakhstani diplomat Askar Mussinov has been elected to the post of the Director-General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) by the decision of the 6th IOFS General Assembly held in Doha, Qatar, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the foreign ministry of Kazakhstan. 

Askar Mussinov held different positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. He served as the Kazakhstani ambassador to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and South Africa, as well as the Kazakh deputy foreign minister and executive secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan.

From 2018 to 2022, Mussinov was the Deputy Secretary-General for Science and Technology of the Islamic Organization for Food Security.
