Association of Kazakh-Egyptian friendship established in Cairo
The event was attended by prominent Egyptian political figures, representatives of expert and scientific community, the business community, as well as journalists from leading media outlets. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Berik Aryn briefed the guests on the most important events of the political life of Kazakhstan, as well as the preparations for the upcoming presidential elections. The participants have unanimously supported the establishment of "Association of Kazakh-Egyptian friendship" that would contribute to strengthening and development of bilateral relations between the two states. A. Abdullah, governor of "Red Sea" (Hurghada) province, has been elected the chairman of the group. Honorary members of the association are prominent representatives of Egyptian society, such as the Chairman of the Centre for Dialogue at Al-Azhar, Egypt's former Minister of Awqaf Himdiy Zaqzouq, former rector of "Al-Azhar" University Dr. Y. Al-Abdi, the Egyptian ambassadors to Kazakhstan in different years Abdullah Al Arnusi and NabilaSalyama, journalists of media holdings "Al-Ahram", "Al-Gumhuriya" and other media, the head of the company "Rehana Group" Y. Abbas, as well as a number of other prominent business people, public figures and scientists.
