Astana and Bishkek ink agr't on grant military assistance

ASTANA. March 17. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Heads of the defense ministries of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov and Abibilla Kudaiberdiyev has met on Thursday within the SCO defense ministers' sitting; the press service of the Kazakh defense department reports.

At the meeting an agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Kyrgyzstan on providing grant military assistance was signed.

Major General A.Kudaiberdiyev thanked the Kazakh side for warm reception and noted that one of the priority directions of cooperation is assistance to the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of training of military cadres in the military educational establishments of the Kazakh Ministry of Defense.

At present more than 110 Kyrgyz military men continue education in the higher educational institutions of the Kazakh defense Ministry.
