Astana - Burabay new route to be launched Dec 13

On the eve of the New Year a new high-speed holiday route “Nurly Zhol - Astana - Burabay resort” consisting of six rail cars is set to be launched, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The press service of the Visit Aqmola tourist information center of the Akmola region has announced that the launch of the new high-speed route is scheduled for December 13, 2024.

“This will be a new electric train. The six-carriage train will operate on the route between Astana and Burabay. The ticket cost will be about 2,500 to 3,000 tenge. The train will be fully decorated in the New Year tourist theme,” Andrey Podgurskiy, the head of the Akmola region tourism department, noted.

The high-speed train from Astana to Burabay is scheduled to take 2.5 hours. Tickets are available for everyone. It should be noted that on the day of the route launch, one of the six carriages will be designated for complimentary passenger travel. Additionally, representatives of the Visit Aqmola tourist information center will be present on the train, offering greetings and engaging in light-hearted contests with passengers.

Andrey Podgurskiy added that the train will be in operation until March 2025.
