Astana Economic Forum to discuss challenges and prospects of economic development in context of global transformation

ASTANA. May 16. KAZINFORM Astana will host the 5th Astana Economic Forum (AEF) on May 22-24 to discuss challenges and prospects of economic development in the context of global transformation.

Among the expected keynote speakers and participants are President Nursultan Nazarbayev, former President of Germany Horst Köhler, Prime Minister of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber al-Thani, Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and other. Of particular note is the participation of 12 Nobel Prize winners on economy and related disciplines, including John Nash and Robert Mundell, and other eminent thinkers. In total, the AEF agenda includes 35 sessions of different formats with the participation of more than 5,000 delegates from 80 countries, the Kazakh MFA's press service reports.
