"Astana EXPO-2017" National Company to be launched in Astana
"The draft resolution of the Government on establishment of "National Company "Astana EXPO" JSC has been adopted today. This year, the company will work on the preparation for the exhibition," Minister of Economic Development and Trade Yerbolat Dossayev said at the Government sitting.
According to the Minister, the organizational chart of the Government's activities has already been made. The Organization committee headed by Kairat Kelimbetov will coordinate activities of 8 task groups working on the basic lines of preparation for the exhibition.
"An office of the National Consultant will be established in coming days. The akimat of Astana, in its turn, will establish a directorate for preparation and construction of new facilities in the city. The EXPO-2017 support fund of the Corporate Fund "Nurly Astana" will continue its work as well," Y.Dossayev said.
Totally, over 90% of the activities outlined in the national action plan on organization and holding of the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 are scheduled for 2013. The national plan will be amended for 2014-2018 after it is approved at a session of the executive committee of the International Bureau of Exhibitions in October 2013.
