Astana holds International conference on 10th anniversary of ?Nur Otan?

ASTANA. February 16. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ An international scientific-practical conference on ?Nur Otan? National Democratic Party is the party of the people?s confidence? is being held in Central Office of the party at present, Kazinform reports.

The conference aims at scientific conceptualization of the historical way of ?Nur Otan?, its role and importance in the modern life of Kazakhstani society and the country in whole as well development of propositions on the party?s further development. The conference is attended by the deputies of the RK Parliament, representatives of ministries and departments of the country, public associations, international organizations and educational institutions of Astana. As Secretary of ?Nur Otan? Sergey Gromov noted, transformation of the political system of Kazakhstan from Presidential into Presidential-Parliamentary one is a priority direction in its activity today. The Party concentrates its efforts on development of the institute of parliamentarism in the country. In particular, the party has reached significant achievements in enhancing the role of the Parliament, strengthening independence of the court system, extension of powers of maslikhats, development of local self-administration, strengthening the People?s Assembly of Kazakhstan and the mechanisms of protection of the citizens? rights and freedoms in the justice system.
