Astana hosts II Economic Forum
ASTANA. March 2. KAZINFORM According to the initiative of Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ?Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists? Association (EECSA) was established to unite leading scientific organizations from 9 countries of the Eurasian area, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning.
The First Astana Economic Forum with participation of the leading scholars in economics, politicians and businessmen from 45 countries was held on the 27th of June 2008.
We invite you to take part in the Second Astana Economic Forum ?Economic Security in Eurasia in the System of Global Risks? which will be held on March 11-12, 2009 in Astana, Kazakhstan, Palace of Independence.
Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan will take part in the Forum. It is expected participation of Karim Massimov, Prime-Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President of Islamic Development Bank, winners of Nobel Prize in Economics Prof. Edmund S. Phelps and Prof. Robert Mundell, Jean Lemierre, Advisor to the Chairman BNP PARIBAS, and Zhao Xiaoyu, Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank.
Within the Second Astana Economic Forum following panel discussions will be held:
1) World economic crisis and its impact on economic security of countries
2) Public-private partnership development
3) Entrepreneurship development under conditions of global risks
4) Islamic economy development under conditions of globalization
5) Regional economic cooperation
6) Public management of economy under conditions of global challenges
The Forum starts on March 11, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. in Palace of Independence, Astana, Kazakhstan. Registration starts at 8 a.m. (please have your ID)
