Astana International Forum, Boao Forum for Asia sign memorandum of cooperation

Astana International Forum and the Boao Forum for Asia signed a memorandum of cooperation as part of participation of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the 23rd BFA plenary session, the press service of Akorda reported.

The sides agreed to jointly promote the international and regional agenda and support the global measures of strengthening  multilateralism and collective responsibility for building a better world.

AIF and BFA plan to hold a number of events to join the efforts of the two dialogue platforms.

As reported, on March 28, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev participated in the opening ceremony of the Boao Forum for Asia plenary session held annually in China’s Hainan province. This year’s edition is held under the motto “Asia and the World: Common Challenges, Shared Responsibilities.”

In his speech, the Kazakh leader noted that today’s Kazakh-Chinese relations emerge as a model of effective partnership with Kazakhstan becoming a key trade and economic partner of China in Central Asia.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pointed out promising outlook of such important international dialogue platforms as the Boao Forum for Asia, Astana International Forum. Taking this opportunity, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited the BFA guests to attend the oncoming Astana Economic Forum.
