Astana is the symbol of Kazakhstan's development - Nazarbayev

ASTANA. July 4. KAZINFORM "Astana is the symbol of Kazakhstan's development," President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has announced today during the presentation of "Astana" Presidential Professional Sports Club (PPSC).

"This is the beacon that shows us how Kazakhstan will grow and that it will take the place among the leading countries in the future," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The Head of State also stressed since independence much attention has been paid to economic development in Kazakhstan. That is why the country has achieved great success in different spheres, including sport.

"I see here all Olympic champions and prize-winners of the international competitions whom I know. I am very happy to be here with you," the Kazakh Leader added.

During the presentation, the President was elected honorary president of the "Astana" sports club.
