Astana marks Sports Day

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Today we celebrate the Sports Day. Thanks to the steady policy of President Nursultan Nazarbayev promoting healthy life style the Government pays great attention to sport and its development," Culture and Sport Minister of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly said addressing those gathered at the Daulet national tennis centre in Astana.

According to him, one of the strategically important and key tasks outlined in the President's Address is to increase the number of Kazakhstanis going in for sports by 30% until 2020.

The mass morning exercises, the great concert and exhibition show of famous sportsmen aroused great interest among those gathered.
