Astana Mayor invited to celebration of Hanoi 1000 anniversary

KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ ?The Government of Vietnam intends to invite Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov to the celebration of 1000 anniversary of Hanoi city next year?, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Vietnam to Kazakhstan Vu The Hiep has said today, Kazinform reports.

The Ambassador informed on relationships between two republics. The trade turnover between the countries is increasing every year and achieved over USD 96 mln last year compared to USD 68.8 mln in 2007. The Ambassador noted that Kazakhstan and Vietnam have common goals. ?Despite the distances between the countries, we have many values and interests in common. They are the aspiration for peace, national independence, demand for stability, cooperation, renovation and modernization of the country. Being continental country with moderate climate (Kazakhstan) and land-locked country with tropical climate (Vietnam) we can compliment each other in the process of development?, the Diplomat said. Vietnam takes second place in the world on production of rice and coffee, third place ? on production of caoutchouc.
