Astana Piano Passion with $ 60.000 prize fund to take place in Astana

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - From 24 to 30 April Astana will host the third international festival of classical music and contest for young pianists called "Astana Piano Passion", this has been announced at today's press conference in Central Communications Service by Lyudmila Doroshenko, director of "Accordi di Astana" public fund.

It should be noted that the festival Artistic Director is Denis Matsuev, the People's Artist of Russia. The prize fund of the competition is $60,000. For semi-finals there have been elected 30 children aged 6-18 from 10 countries. 4 contestants are from Kazakhstan. Denis Matsuev, famous Kazakh composer Tolegen Mukhamedzhanov, rector of the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy Dzhania Aubakirova, professor of the Moscow Conservatory, People's Artist of the RSFSR Sergei Dorensky, Honored Artist of Russia, Professor of the Moscow State Conservatory named after Tchaikovsky Valery Piasecki and many other will judge the competition. The competition organizers are Astana city Administration, "Accordi di Astana" social fund with the support of the Moscow Philharmonic. The grand opening and gala concert will be held on April 24 at Astana Opera. The contest is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana city administration and public fund "Accordi di Astana".
