Astana plays host to Kazakh-Belarusian IT-Forum
The event was attended by representatives of public authorities, businesses and non-governmental sectors from the both countries. The forum was led by Vice Minister of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan Saken Sarsenov and Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Belarus Nikolai Strukov.
The aim of the event was to share the experience and cooperation practices in such important IT areas as e-government, e-commerce, software development for business and government, and the manufacture of high-tech equipment.
The agenda of the section "Electronic and Mobile Government" included the issues related to the creation of analytical systems for government agencies, databases, interagency electronic document management systems, and the introduction of information technologies in municipal services, security information systems and technology at educational institutions.
In addition, the parties made suggestions concerning the automation of road crossing points on the borders of the Customs Union, the interaction between the new information systems with the existing ones, Kazinform refers to BelTA.
The section "IT-Solutions in the Business Sector" discussed the introduction of information technologies in the oil and gas industry, banking and industry, and implementation and support of the cloud-based solutions for companies that provide hosting services and seed financing of IT projects. The forum was attended by representatives of more than 25 companies.
