Astana Summit to give a new momentum to OSCE reforming - Danilo Türk

ASTANA. December 2. KAZINFORM /Gulnara Zhandagulova/ OSCE Summit in the capital of Kazakhstan should give a new momentum to the organization reforming, President of Slovenia Danilo Türk said.

"What we expect from the OSCE Summit in Astana? The Summit should give a new momentum to the development and reforming of the organization. We need new plans regarding the prospects of work in the OSCE space", Mr. Turk noted.

He considers that the Helsinki Final Act adopted in 1975 is a live document. "Though it served the interests of the states it was possible to insert humanitarian aspects of our understanding of security into it", the Slovenia President emphasized.

He called on the participating states to unite efforts in favor of new OSCE.
