Astana to become one million city after 10 years – N. Nazarbayev

KAZINFORM /Valentina Yelizarova/ The capital of Kazakhstan Astana will become a large multimillion city after 10 years ; President of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev has said during today's live broadcast answering the question of 12-years-old school boy Sasha Romanov from Karaganda city.

"The city will be developed. Now there is 700 thousand of population. I believe, that 10 years later Astana will become a megacity with the population of over one mln people", - N. Nazarbayev stated. The Head of the State wished the boy his dream comes true - to study in the capital university.

Astana has passed a successful way of development, he emphasized. "During 10 years we have constructed our capital. Astana has become a center of the community, union of all the people of Kazakhstan, our common pride", - the Head of the State said.
